I have recently bought 5 belgian d'uccles from the same place, I put them in there house and they were fine. But now my rooster seems depressed. He was running to me for food and now he sits in the corner looking sad and his wings are starting to droop.

Would love some help please I don't want him to die :(

Was your rooster part of your flock before you got the BDs? How old are the BDs? How long have the BDs been living with the rooster before he began exhibiting those symptoms? Did you quarantine the BDs before the rooster was exposed to them?

New chickens moving to a new home may get a new strain of coccidiosis. Symptoms are diarrhea--(only sometimes may have blood,) lethargy, puffing up or huddling, and not wanting to eat. Treatment is Corid, amprollium, or Ampromed liquid or powder for 5-7 days in the water. Also check him for lice, mites, and an impacted crop.

yes I bought them all together the rest are fine it's just him

I suggest consulting with a veterinarian at the USDA- that's what they are there for and it's a free service. 866-536-7593

I think he has sour crop because his crop is like a balloon. I have put apple cider vinegar in his water. Should I seperate him and put him on a different diet?
