Please Help Missing top beak

my heart goes out to your hen.. Years ago I had a rooster who got in a fight with another roo and lost half of his top beak... he survied for years that way until he got into my dogs food and choked... but your hen looks far worse than his... I hope she will be ok

This is certainly nothing like debeaking. This bird will starve to death as did my goose that had more beak left than that. The most humane thing for her is to cull. Eat her now, before she shrivels up to nothing and dies. Sounds cruel, but watching them act normal, only to die of starvation is more cruel.......Pop

Sooooo sorry. Lollipop is spot on. I tried what I could with one and after everything Is said and done I assure you I'd feel much better today about it If I'd followed that route.

Thank you everyone. I gave her asprin last night before we went to bed and wraped her in a towl un fortunatly she didn't make it she passed in the middle of the night I woke up to check on her and she was gone

I called many vets where I live and the one that does deal with chickens was swaped so he couldn't come out till today. I have my suspions as to what happened to her and going to take care of that today so this wont happen again.

I believe it was one of my ducks I have seen them be really mean to my chickens before. We were planning on butchering them just looks like we will be doing it sooner. I hope that is what happened to her and not somthign else.
