My hen Pumpernickel has swollen black toes on both feet. Her feet kind of resemble bumble foot except her toes are black. The skin on the bottom of her feet is also pealing off. It can't be frost bite because it has been very warm out in the high 60's and 70's. I don't know if this is just a very severe case of bumble foot or something else. Her feat feel very hot and she is starting to have trouble walking. She is still eating and drinking a lot without any problems. I have started soaking her feet in epsom salt and I have sprayed them with vetericyn spray. I would appreciate any ideas anyone has about what this could be and how I can treat it.
