Please help! My female quail is limping and feathers in the back are missing!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say thank you for all your help. She is healed and I have reunited them today in celebration of their birthday tmrw!! 🥳 Thanks again!
 
So..I don’t exactly know what happened. I went outside to feed them this morning and my mail quail was upstairs which is kind of odd since he’s usually downstairs. My female was like keeping watch of him by the ramp. It looks as if she’s somewhat fighting him to not mate with her sometimes? And he was making some weird noises and crowing. Could he be stressed? Should I seperate them again?
 
You shouldn't really keep a pair of coturnix together like that, as others have said he will overbreed her and they will keep getting stressed and injured. Can you get 2 or 3 more hens?

Sadly I can’t. I don’t have a big enough home for them.
