Please help my hen has a massive lump on her face?!

please help my hen just started getting this huge, hard, red, angry mass, which is closing her eye and prevent her mouth from shutting l the way...she is active eating, drinking, good stool, and not breathing any differently. No discharge from nose or wound...please anyone know what I should do..my vet said it was to dangerous to put her under to remove...

Were you able to get some input on what is going on with your hen and what to do about it? I'm no expert, I just hate seeing animals suffer.

I think you need a different vet. Did he at least say what he thought it was?

Hello! My 6 yrs old Buff Orpington has a similar lump right at the apex of the her beak and cheek. I took her to Avian Vet Specialist who took punch biopsies and X-rays. The tumor is cancerous
unfortunately and cannot be removed. I did spend 900.00 and change to get this diagnosis. Blahhh.....and now, that the vet has messed with it..it look worse than ever...She still seems happy and content, and so far it doesn't interfere with her eating or drinking. I don't know if I did the right thing by taking her to the specialist....
Just be prepared for HUGE expenses if u take her in to see a Vet. I can send pics if u want....
