please help! my incubator temp got to 107°!

I just read your post from 2013 (its now 2015) and the reply information made me feel better. My incubator reached 106 last night for approx 2.5 hrs. I was going to toss them all but I will now wait a few days and candle them. It won't hurt to try:)
thanks

So how did your hatch turn out? I'm curious bc last night my daughter must have turned on the heater in the room with my incubator. I woke up and the incubator was 104! My eggs are two weeks along and I'm so worried they're all dead

SAME! Mine jumped to 107 today and I don’t know for how long possibly three hours… I just wish people would update after it’s all done with!

This is day two of my very first attempt at hatching. Yesterday and all day today, my thermostat has been keeping between 99 and 101. About 20 minutes ago (because I'm neurotic...see my post in the hatch along category) I check on the eggs again and my temp reads 98°...so I up the thermostat a smidge...literally the smallest movement that could invoke any change in the position of the dial. I walk away. I just checked the temp and it read 107°! Now I'm really freaking out! How can I help this thing maintain a regular temp range? I've closed the windows...my air vents are closed...I turned off the ceiling fan...I keep the door closed...I even took out the light bulb. The temp inside this room is pretty consistent. So...is it just the heating element causing the high temp read? should my eggs still be ok?
Don’t worry, your eggs are ok. I have hatched out eggs for the first time ever in a incubator about 13 weeks ago and have had the same issues as you, my temp go as high as to 110 for some hours, and my humidity has also been between 1% to 95% for some time, but 8 out of the 9 eggs hatched and they are doing good so don’t worry, but if this keeps happening mabye there’s something wrong with the incubator.😊
