Cocci would cause bloody stools, not runny. And I believe sugar water causes diarrhea, so I personally wouldn't do that. Is it possible they are getting overheated? I know when I lived in Florida, this time of year was super humid. Do they have constant access to clean dirt for bathing? Maybe try freezing their water bottle to cool them off. I really don't think it is cocci.

sounds like cocci. It was happenning to my chicks untill i gave them medicated feed.

I think you should add some ground oyster shell to their mash. I am figuring out (the hard way) that game birds need grit and the extra calcium shells provide.

Make sure they are all finding and drinking water. I've had button quail do that too. I finally figured it out. They weren't drinking the water. My buttons were dying and I had two that were getting ready to die. They weren't growing as well as the others and they would flop over on their backs and not be able to get up. The last two I took and dipped their beaks in the water to make them drink. I had to do that several times a day for 3 or 4 days until they finally figured it out. But they are fine now. they would have died if I hadn't been making sure they got some water.

The Sulmet seems to be working. I got home today and they all look fine. They are eating and drinking and no one is all sick looking.

I hope the worst is over.
