Anyone know what this is?!?!?
We came home from out of town and noticed our 2 year old RIR had a floppy comb and was acting lethargic for a few days. We put electrolytes in the water because it had been really hot here. Yesterday i noticed her comb was pale. Today, I noticed THIS when letting her out to range. what in the world could it be?

she’s eating and drinking just fine (munching some meal worms here) and her comb actually looks almost normal and she’s been acting much better too. My husband has been collecting eggs and told me today it looked like some of the eggs have had some blood dried on them.

Does anyone know what this is and how on earth do I fix it? Thanks in advance!!

Looks like she's gotten a build up of feces on her butt that has lead to infection. Id perscribe a bath/ cutting out the feces. Treeat topically with vetricyn and either Tylan or a broad spectrum antibiotic in the water. Clean the coop really good too. Best of luck

Can you gather her up, give her a soak and wash the poop off her bum?
Hard to see, but the skin looks irritated. Make sure to look close when cleaning her that there's no maggots in the tissue underneath the vent.

If just irritated and no sign of insect activity. Apply Vetericyn or NuStock to the skin. Take a look at her every day and make sure the skin is healing and there's no evidence of bugs.

Thank you guys so much!!! We bathed her and she looks good as new. I’m actually shocked. Her booty gave me nightmares!
