I have a silkie chick that’s about three weeks old and yesterday she seemed completely fine but today she’s wobbling around in circles. She tries to walk in a straight line but ends up going at an angle or in circles. She also seems to want rest a lot, or something to lean on. I’m trying to get her to drink right now and she’s not interested. She also had a light, clear, green liquid coming from her vent for a second, then she dropped a watery duece with some blood and weird wet chucks. It was so strange! I’ve never seen anything like this. Anyone know if she’s gonna be ok?

Do you have other chicks or is she the only one?

Did she start out normal and just develop this?

Green poop can be an indicator of not eating. What feed is she on? Assuming chick crumbles or all-flock crumbles, try putting some in a small dish and soaking it. Chicks and adults love that.

I would get some B-Complex, give her about 1/2 of one each day for a couple of weeks. Also, I'd get some Poultry Cell or NutriDrench and put that in their water every other day for a couple of weeks.

If that's for sure blood in her poop, she might have cocciodosis. If that's the case, do NOT give her any vitamins and pick up some Corid right away. That has a 5-day treatment in their water, which afterward you can commence with the vitamins.

She is housed with several other chicks, and she was completely normal and healthy when I hatched her. She is on Dumor 20% chick started which has worked ok for me in the past, and I’ve been watching her closely and she has been eating. Also, I do have nutridrench I could give her! I love nutridrench it’s very handy. Can I get B-complex at a tractor supply?

Good, the Dumor is fine. I was just making sure she's on chick starter as some don't realize they need it.

I think you can get the goat and cattle B-complex at TSC. We got the human version, cherry flavored liquid at Walmart, which they actually like. If you got that, I'd give her 1/4 of a dropper full. If you get some from TSC, somewhere here we'd have the dosage for you, just let us know.
