Hi, this is my first time hatching under a broody hen. This morning we went to go check up on the mama to find two newly hatched chicks sprawled in front of her and not under her. They were cold to the touch but were alive. She has two more chicks under her who seem healthy and super fluffy.
I jave taken the two into my incubatorthey are moving a little but no chirping :( is this normal chicken behaviour? Did i disrupt natures course?

Maybe they were unsure how to get in the nest,or the mother decided these to were unhealthy.Sometimes first time broodies make mistakes and freak out when they feel things crawling and chirping underneath them.
