Hello, everyone!! I am new to hatching duck eggs, and I have two Saxony duck eggs at I believe day 22 of the hatching process. I know I am supposed to stop turning them 3 days before hatching, but I know the range of hatching is 26-28 days. When should I stop turning them? I can't get a good picture of the eggs, but when candled, it is almost completely dark besides the air cell. Any advice on what I should do? I don't want to stop turning them too early, but I also don't want to stop turning too late and disorient the baby. Thank you so much!!

Ducks turn their eggs until they hatch. If you start lockdown on day 24 it should be OK. Should you be turning by hand, look the egg over carefully for external pip marks on day 24. If you see any do not open the incubator and consider lockdown started. Do any lockdown prep late on day 23 just in case.
