I don't think I shrink wrapped it?. I did this in a bathroom with the shower steaming up the room and misted it and wrapped it in a damp paper towel when I placed it back. (Not covering the air hole)

Oh I'm sorry! No, you didn't shrink wrap it. It would have had difficulty hatching if it was shrink wrapped, it wouldn't just die overnight.
I would definately lower your humidity for your next hatch but it may be that your temperature isn't stable enough. I looked into getting a Janoel 12 once but the reviews I found weren't good. I seem to remember temperature being the main issue.
