Coop you are correct. The animals have a beautiful new home and a learning center was built for the public to learn more information about the wild cats and their habitats. The county has actually placed a county worker at the entrance to stop people from going in. All because it's gravel instead of asphalt. In Phelan, 90% of the roads are DIRT, so gravel is an upgrade.

That is just soo sad... I know its not there problem but do you know if they have contacted Ex Makeover ? You would think it wouldnt be too ridiculous to pave the road.. Or maybe a fund raiser? Sell tickets for a " Special Tour" of the new facility .. Ask local businesses to donate food, time , drinks..

The entire area knows about this situation. The problem is, the cats have BIG appetites and all donations go to feed them. I am sure that over time they could come up with $1 MILLION dollars for asphalt. I am just so ticked at the County over this.

Hey Debi any new news on this... I was just thinking about them and found the thread... I truly hope they have gotten the funding .. It makes me sick to think this amazing place is'nt getting what it needs..

I hadn't seen this thread. June 18, court date, thats in a few days. I don't understand, why does the road have to be paved, makes no sense.
