Please Help! Quail is missing a toenail!

One of my male quail is missing a toenail. It has stopped bleeding but still blood on it. How should I treat it? Will it grow back?

Disinfect the nail area-make sure the bleeding has stopped and return him to his cage. If the nail bed has been removed the nail will not grow back. It will not hinder the quail in any way once it's healed.

OK, thanks! Should I use Iodine?

I have never used iodine on a bird so I can't say. Since it has stopped bleeding I'd just use some dish soap and rinse well.

I would use a poultry wound spray if you have it or can use it. one of my ducks lost a toenail and I just sprayed some of that stuff on it and it healed up.
