To make a very long story short, a couple of weeks after picking up my two black stars and two buffs I got talked into taking home two sick chicks that "werent going to make it through the weekend because they need constant watch and care and no-one will be here to supply that."
The lady said they were cuckoo marrans (??) which lay "dark maroon eggs" but when I went back and told her they both made it she said they were E.Es instead.

Anyway, Ive been going back and forth on what gender they are, whether rooster or hen but like a dumb dumb I have kept going back and forth.
They look like girls at one point then they start developing what looks to me like roo sickle feathers or saddle feathers.

If anyone can shed light Id appreciate it. I cant have roosters they're too noisy for my little plot.
The dark ones PEEP and the reddish one is PORKER. They are four months old or a week to two weeks older.

THANKS.

Top Five is Porker and s/he does hold its tail up and they look like sickle feathers but I couldnt get a good picture of that.

The next top five is PEEP.

I can get MORE pictures if you need it. I tried to take pictures according to the guide.

THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

They could be a mix with EEer - but the first one looks like it is a mix of a production red. I have seen EEers look totally different depending on what they are mixed with. My guess is they will be brown egg layers, not tinted- both are pullets.

top looks like a welsummer (will lay brown eggs) or brown leghorn (if ear lobes turn white and lays white eggs) and the 2nd appears to be a barnevelder and bot pullets

That makes me very happy.

After putting in about four sleep less nights and lots of time into constant care to them I have gotten attached to those two... I don't want to see them go just because they might be boys.
