Please help! Scabs / fowl pox*pics*

Ok... Im freaking out! One of my hens has small scabs on her waddles, and her comb. And it looks like dried blood around it's nostrils. I was wondering if it's just the rooster picking on her? Or is it fowl pox? Do any of you have any experience with it? They say on here that it comes from mosquitoes... Please help!

Any tips on treating this?

You may want to look up dry fowl pox. I am not certain, but that looks like it could be the beginning of it. You are living in the right spot for it. It's the right time of year for it. It looks similar to it. I'd look it up, and keep an eye on the flock. Dry pox is a nuisance, but not usually a big deal. It looks awful, can cause secondary infections if left unattended, but is pretty easy to deal with overall.
