Please HELP, sleepy 3-day-old chick.

I can tell you are hurt by this event but try to understand all creatures born or hatched aren't meant to become viable adults.
When incubating eggs, many embryos end up failing, sometimes in the first week, sometimes at the end and sometimes they hatch but don't have the vigor to survive long.
All one has to do to understand this concept is to look at humans in the same way. In spite of medical care and prenatal vitamins, 10-20 percent of human pregnancies, end up as miscarriages. 80 perecent of those end in the first trimester.
To carry this concept further, infant death rates would be through the roof without millions of dollars of medical equipment and dozens of prenatal staff.
All creatures aren't meant to survive. Nature is about survival of the fittest.
Your chick may have been saved if you had every piece of medical equipment and a staff of avian veterinarians and pathologists.
Thank you for trying to make me feel better, I appreciate it. ❤️

Yes, that is certainly a logical way to look at it. I do know that many chicks die young, and even quite a large percentage die before they’re a year old. It gives some comfort I suppose, to know that it was beyond my control. Your heart just goes out to such cute little things, especially when they’re declining and need your care. I couldn’t help but want to save her, but nature had to take it’s course.
