I have still air LG incubator. We have installed a computer fan to make it a forced air incubator. I cant seem to get the temp in the incubator to 99.5. When i adjust the temp it either reads 100.4 or 97.3. What temp would be the better temp out of the 2 for incubation? The thermometer/Hygrometer i am using is a Springfield precise temp. One you can buy at walmart. It seems to be reading right but im not so sure being it only goes to 100.4 and 97.3 in the incubator. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I don't know a store bought 'bator, I made mine....... how ever, my thoughts are, does your thermometer show you the high lows in the 'bator? this would help. reason being then you will know what your middle range temp is, my low is 97 and my high is 101, mid temp is 99. I had a good hatch with this. and both ur temps are ok, but IF I had to chose I would pick the lower.

Yes it does have the high/ low indicator. Ill have to see where my middle is. Yes it is a store bought incubator with egg turner and all. This is my second hatch. My first one didn't go to well. Out of 9 fertile eggs only one hatched. I opened all the eggs that didn't make it and they look like they all should of hatched. Must have been my fault somehow. The one that lived ended up dieing 3 days later due to the yoke sac not being absorbed all the way. I just don't want to do anything wrong. My rooster passed away and this is my last chance to get some of his chicks.
