Please Help... Tukey Hen with unknow problem **Graphic Photos**

I have a hen that has been not acting well. I was wondering if maybe she was egg bound or something. When I flipped her over.. it looks like some flesh??? is coming out of her butt. She is almost a year old. I have no clue what would cause this. I have been trying to find a vet that will see a turkey and have yet to find one (I am still trying though). Anyone have any suggestions to what this might be? How to fix it.. or can it even be fixed?

I've never had to deal with a vent prolapse but maybe thats what this is. Hopeflly someone with more experience can answer. Maybe look under the search section for vent prolapse. Good Luck!

I agree with the above post. Definately looks like a prolapse.

looks like a prolapse. Take the turkey in, clean her very good in that area. I'd even take a little Beadine & water mix and wipe her down.... Apply hemorrhoid cream to see if it will shrink the prolapse back in, you may need to help push it back inside her......
