Can you go see where the silkie would be? It sounds like the perfect trade for both of you , except that you don't really want to give up the silkie.
Yes, they can be traumatized to death, but it's unlikely the other chickens would put out the energy to do that? My advise is to go see the other chicken, and then do what you want.
I have some smaller chickens that the others won't let eat, they chase them off, but I provide a fenced in area with a small tunnel for them to run in, they learned this remarkably fast, now they can eat in peace, and the bigger older chickens can't get in there, maybe you could do something similar for your silkie? and get that one a friend...eventually they may get along together, but you might have to confine the big birds too.
