I got a 3.5 yr old midget white turkey Tom from a breeder and he has gotten very ill. It started with lime green poops, so I took a sample to my vet. Both the vet and the state lab found no cocci OR parasites. Since my chicken flock sometimes struggles with a respiratory illness I tried to treat with denegard in the water for two days, I thought maybe he caught something even though the chickens are in a separate area. His poop turned from bright green to neon yellow, so I stopped the treatment as I am concerned he has kidney issues or something else going on. I listened to his breathing with a stethoscope and I didn't hear anything concerning. I thought maybe the green poop was from hot humid weather, but today it's only in the low 70's, and he's very lethargic. Laying down a lot. The only other thing I noticed was that he is grooming himself way more than usual, and the other turkeys peck at him. When I first got him I saw mites, but I dusted him twice and sprayed the coops. I also don't know how mites would effect the poop, I'm just trying to give as much info as I can because
I am desperate for advice. No one I ask knows what to do. He has been on game bird grower for 12 weeks because I have poults in the pen with him, and someone said maybe the high protein damaged his kidneys....? If so.. am I too late to save him?

He's a sweetheart and he's our pet, he has helped raise several batches of babies and I am trying so hard to save him. Can anyone help me figure this out before it's too late?!?

try medicated feed mixed with the game bird feed. I feed only medicated to all of my growing birds and it helps. Also try some honey, acv and a splash of garlic juice in his water all are extremely helpful. Or put minced garlic in his feed mash. Other than that not too sure on what could be causing his lime green stool or yellow unless he ate something he wasn't supposed to.

Neon green poop ...it's bile... the bird is not processing its food correctly.
Go to the thread in this Emergencies forum titled ,
" no energy and bright green poop! "
It has great info and describes precisely, with dosages, how a lady with the neon green poop saved her poultry with Tylan when the vets laughed at her for wanting to save a chicken.

What if you might also try giving your turkey some poultry or goat Nutri drench by Bovidr Labs. it's an emergency nutritional supplement that does not need to be digested. it
mainlines directly into the bloodstream
measurable in 11 minutes; 99% utilization; all natural. it might be a way to get some energy into this bird that obviously isn't up taking its nutrition. because of the bile im its poop that's turning the poop neon green.
The folks at Bovidr Labs are very experienced. call them and see how much to give your turkey.
