please help!! what is this? will my duck be ok??

That’s what it looks like we have one of those.
I was going to say that but you said it before me.
any idea if it’s harmful to ducks? vet appointments are hard to get because of covid (avian vet is mostly accepting emergency only)

It's an exhaust wall cap aka. dryer vent hood. They're mainly made out of two substances 1. aluminum or in your case 2. calcium carbonate filled polypropylene (high heat and uv resistant plastic). If your duck ingested any your biggest worry will be impaction or internal tearing. I would take your duck to the vet asap if you think any was ingested.

That is a dryer vent.

As far as the duck. Pay close attention to her, and her feces, weighing her daily on a gram scale would be advised as well. If she starts producing abnormal droppings, or starts losing weight she needs to be taken to a vet.
will she be okay overnight? she is now asleep with the other ducks (she did eat and drink right before bed)

I’m so sorry about your duck. If vet isn’t possible hopefully things will work out. You never know, sometimes animals are very resilient. Try not to worry too much. :hugs

not exactly sure what this thing is, but my duck has been chewing it and we just now noticed (it was rainy all day so she was playing while i was indoors)

what is it? will she be ok?
Is this person for real. The past posts from @

Depends a LOT on how much she ate, and the individual size and shape of the pieces ingested. If anything does happens, it will most likely occur in the gizzard as the strong grinding force often pushes the pieces into the lining. Of course take her to a vet if you can, but for now you'll just want to pay close attention to her. If you want, you could try adding a few ml's of mineral oil into her feed to help lubricate the plastic down.
