Please help with a pullet age estimate (:

Hi all! I’m pretty new here but Not brand new to keeping chickens. I picked up 5 BR pullets last weekend, and was told they’re somewhere between 12-15 weeks old. They look closer to the 12 end to me, I was hoping someone with more experience with this breed could make a better educated guess.

I can’t say that I’m more experienced because I know I’m not, but I purchased chicks in April, so they are around 12 to 13 weeks old and they look bigger than the ones in your picture. I don’t have barred rock though either, I have buff Orpington, black sex-link, and Ameraucana. I hope this helped a little.

Wow thanks!! So mine might be on the older side too, yours don’t look incredibly huge at 17 weeks. We will see when they finally start laying.

I think you are correct...…….I have two 12 week old BR pullets and look much like yours.
