Okay.......2 things......
first : BR........Is it for Barred Rock or Bourbon Red (I am pretty knowledgeable about chickens, but I am claiming complete ignorance with bourbon red btw)
second: PR.......plymoth rock or partridge rock.......both are very popular birds. Is there perhaps an extra R for the partridge or an L for plymoth or is this for both?
Quote:
BR can mean either, so can PR. It's one reason i don't really like to use abbreviations because it can cause confusion on other peoples parts. (And i can't help but wonder, how many people that use these abbreviations complain about their children or others using language people can't read? And talk about it just being laziness ?
).
Since no one answered your other question OE is usually Old english, large fowl or bantam.
ETA: On the BR and PR though, BR is usually Barred rock.. And PR is rarely plymouth rock as Dustin said.
Thanks to everyone. So far I have written 37 all pertaining to chickens......no relatives and such. I will check a few more days to see if anymore of us chickens lovers added their 2 cents worth to the list. This should help clear my confusion that creeps up on me every now and then, which is probably true of a lot of others....I think this has help quite a few people on the forum.
