Please help with cochin sexing!

I did say, the black one is 5.5 and white is 4.5 months old. I am now thinking with everyone's thoughts that Libby, now Leo the black one is a roo and Coton is a hen. They have the same dad. I so wanted 2 hens but that is my luck. I have 4 small banties in the yard and I do not want them to get hurt.

I would say the black one is a roo.
I have a blue cochin roo that did not start crowing untill 7 months old. Other than larger wattles and comb one would have thought a hen for him. LOL

Cochins are so gentle. Mine only crows maby 5 times a morning and its so sweet to hear.

My first impression was 2 roosters. However, the white one is tricky since it's mixed. Cochin pullets do not have much of a comb, but since it has something else in the mix, the larger comb may be dominate. It's harder to sex cochins by trying to identify pointed hackles since they have a cushion. The black one is definitely a cockerel.

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

The black one is looking like maybe a roo, but maybe a hen. It's kind of hard to tell The white one for sure is a HEN!

I agree.

Thank you to all who repiled. "Leo" the roo will be staying for now. I will have to wait and see how he is with my small banties when he becomes a ROO! I love the BYC!!!!
