This building will have many purposes! One house two dairy goats and thier babies. They will only be in here at night, during bad weather and winter. As i will be moving them all over my land with netting. I need space to store things i do have a loft though for hay, chicken tractors etc.. I would like to put cabinets in as well. I need brooders, breeding cages, maybe grow out pens. I need open space for my layers, nest boxes, roots. I will have power but no water.

Now I need advice on lighting systems, fencing, a run cover(we do get heavy snow fall), watering system. What about the breeding pens? Should i wall off part for the goats? I am looking at putting a camara system in as well.

This building is 25x25. The run will be 25 ft wide. I need to know how long to make it for say 100 birds. I will divide it with something removable for rotation and so i can tear it down in the winter. I dont think i will have a 100 birds but to be kind to the grass. I will be allowing them to free range part of the day when i'm home. and again the goats won't be in the runs expect to mow it and during the winter. I planing on having silkies and maybe java as breeding birds and mixed laying flock. I will also be using chicken tractors as much as possable.

Im in the planing stages. So i need ideas and comments. If something won't work tell me please! Thanks in advance!

A sturdy fence is essential when combining chickens and goats. This comes from experience. Goats have too great a fondness for chicken feed.
