That's a much better photo, and given the size and redness of the comb and wattles (which are much clearer in this photo), it is a cockerel. It's not a pure Australorp either as it has brown feathers in its neck and wings.

I agreeI see light leg feathering. Indeed a cockerel, probably a Black Copper Marans.
