We bought 4 EE chicks from a private seller. We were told they were all girls. (This is our first experience with EE). They will be 12 weeks old Sat. 4/25/13. So far 2 are roosters. We are certain because they are crowing at 5:30 am every morning. We are pretty sure that 1 is a hen. But the one that that I thought for sure was going to be a hen just this week started looking like it may be a rooster. These babies are driving me crazy.
What do all of you think this one is????

I'd be worried too, that looks like a rooster to me, but I'm not a professional. Hope it's not!!

Thanks. That is so disappointing. He has been the most femine acting of all of them. Hint the name "Miss Priss". Darn Sissy. Chiefaroo acts all male. Amazing at the difference. Promised all girls. Can't trust anyone anymore.

Most breeders will take them back if they get it that wrong. Id go back and complain if they were really selling sexed chicks.

I agree, I would go back and complain. But I think them taking them back depends on the ethics of the breeder, and unfortunately you may find some lacking.

I was sold a roo looking pullet and he made it right. It's how I got my Marans girl.
