Oh okay, than they are off the list. What about a pheasant with clipped wings?

Where will it sleep? How will it get away from cats, dogs, skunks, raccoons, opossum, etc.?Oh okay, than they are off the list. What about a pheasant with clipped wings?
I have them and they are quite loud.Turkeys are too big and keets are pretty noisy...does anyone have Guinea Keets? Are they loud?
Sorry, but I think that you need to build a predator proof shelter that's appropriate for what ever bird you decide to get. None of the birds you mentioned will be safe on the ground at night, period. Coyotes, falcons, hawks? They won't be safe during the day either.Well I thought that a pheasant could sleep in a nest box or something...I just thought if we got big ones they may fight off predators...
I mean this in a nice way, but sounds like you should stick with animals you're allowed to have.We have neighbors separated only by a fence, so we don't want them getting upset...plus the homeowners association is pretty strict here. No chickens, livestock, etc.
