Please help!

My first duckling hatched this morning and passed away a few hours ago...it had a crooked neck and a bloodyish looking lump on its belly. The 2nd duck hatched and is stronger than the first but has a strange looking lump on its belly. What could this be? Will my kids and I be losing another baby? Why does this happen? Thank you

It's gonna be okay Just needs a little more time for its belly to finish to closing up and then it'll be all good.

Pyxis is right. This isn't something you need to be concerned about really. It's the duck equivalent of a belly button.
