I will give him another soak tomorrow but how long should I keep him crated

I would suggest when he is walking completely normal for 24 hours he won't require crating any longer.

As long as he is improving I would let him out of his crate within the next few days. Seems like he likes the bath!

i'd give him a few days, do you have any other roosters? if so you might want to wait a little longer because a run/pecking will ensue when reintroduced

No he is my one and only baby boy

In that case, just give him a few days and see how he does. I'm sure he just twisted it something. Good Luck and I hope your beautiful rooster gets better sooner rather than later

Thank you everyone for the help he is standing more on it putting weight still slight limp tho but seems to be getting better will let him out for a little bit later to really asses the limp but he is looking much better thank you again
