That's too bad ... Chickens carry many diseases that transfer and without a necropsy its undetermined what actual disease your dealing with...
Once you get more Chicks, have a closed flock, meaning do not introduce others...Really the only way to try to prevent disease transfer...

There is no mention of age of birds. I only see that some are 5 weeks older then others.

I also think a necropsy is in order.

The lavenders are about 15 weeks now, and the orpingtons are about 10 weeks

Sorry for your losses.

To lose so many to Marek's in such a short period of time seems unlikely, so it's probably not that.

I strongly suggest that you send one for necropsy or try to do your own necropsy.

Thank you and yes I didn’t think it was Mareks either because our other chickens that had mareks did not die so suddenly, and weeks or months would go by before another one showed signs of the Mareks.

I quarantined each bird as soon as I noticed any symptoms. I never quarantined the rooster because he wasn’t showing any signs.

So many strains of diseases that it could be one disease but a worse strain...Chickens are disease carriers.

It could be something as simple coccidiosis or worms.

If you did not quarantine the newer birds before adding them to your Orpington they could be carriers of a disease. That stinks.

A necropsy will help determine what is going on.

Unless a total Bio-Security quarantine is done?.. Disease transfers and no one is set up for that with backyard Chickens....

I did separate them until a few weeks ago. I had them all separated from the time I got them.
