Please help

Oh dear.

The light colored bird looks to have a deeper wound by the shoulders that is obscured by feathers.
Is that correct?

The dark bird is missing the skin off her back?

I too have seen recoveries that are miracles.

Hang in there.

Thanks to our friend that is helping. I must admit I am a whimp. I can not look at the photos yet. My daughters will do anything and everything suggested to save them.
Well I am just making the assumption you have bacitracin ointment hand for tonight the only thing I can suggest is rinse of the dark one and apply that to its back, for the light one you can do the same as well but infection isn't the biggest concern for tonight. That is a tomorrow thing.

Debbie this is going to be a shock when you see them but chickens have a way of pulling off miracle recoveries.

Let's number them from the top until you label them by name.
#1
#2
#3
#4
After wounds are cleaned pain free antibiotic ointment should be applied to every raw surface. We don't want it to get dried out.

Allen is here and awesome and knows exactly what to do.

Could you possibly get another photo of chicken #4's deep wound by lifting the feathers away by the base of her neck. Is her should bone exposed?

Tomorrow morning could someone please go purchase some vetricyn spray
Its pricy (15-20) but worth every penny.

Infection vs rest and stabilization is the priority for both. Yes I agree the darker seems to have had its skin stripped a bit and to prevent infection we have to give it a second skin of bacitracin or even vaseline if you don't have bacitracin to minimize the risk for infection. Regardless they are still alive and that is saying alot, I really want to see the photos when they are all healed:)

Since it is way past a normal chicken's bedtime, I'd do what you can to clean and treat the raw wounds-really slather in whatever medium you have, antibiotic, vasaline, honey...then tuck the blankets around them, for warmth and security, turn out the lights so they can rest for a while .

This or something else in their line is what you're looking for.

Google it tonight. Not every pet store sells it. I've read some people here say that Walmart carries it but I have never seen it at any of the 3 Walmart in my city.
I bought it online but then found out a pet store near me sells many of this companies products.
