I just found my dog attacking one of my chickens! When I got to them my chicken was able to sort of stumble away. Please help me I’m freaking out. No obvious blood anyway or injuries. Her wings and legs don’t seem to be broken as they move fine. She is just breathing very heavy with her beak open and laying down and her eggs keep drifting closed. Is this normal?? Is she just in shock?? I’m making her some scrambled eggs and going to get some vetx to give her some nutrients right now. I tried giving her some water by dropping it on her beak but she won’t drink

Oh my goodness. What a beauty.
I’m sorry this happened.
Sometimes even the best dogs can’t seem to help themselves.
How Big is the dog?

She’s in shock from the trauma of the event.
I see you have her inside.
It should be warm where she is, or you can even wrap her in that towel that been spun for a few minutes in the dryer.
Symptoms of shock can include decreased body temperature, collapse, drowsiness, eyes shut, paleness, open mouth breathing, rapid heartbeat...

The problem with these symptoms is that internal injuries (crushing injuries) can also cause them.

So for the next few hours I’d just keep her warm in calm surroundings, offer fluids, and observe her.

Later this evening, I’d go over her again very carefully, separating her feathers, hunting for puncture marks and any worrisome symptoms such as breathing issues or inability to move her limbs.

She’s a silver laced Brahma. She is such a beautiful good girl. I just gave her some nutri drench. And have some scrambled eggs if she wants some. I just put a warm blanket up against her to keep her warm too. She didn’t like me dropping the nutri drench in her mouth and tried getting away but could barely stand :/

I wouldn't give nutri-drench straight... She is beautiful!

Nutri drench can be given straight. But you have to be very careful when one is in shock they may aspirate. I'd put some ND in her water and keep it close by so when she is ready she'll drink.
