We have 7 Rhode Island Red hens, one of them has a bald spot on her lower back. I don’t know what happened to her. I don’t know if the chickens are pecking her feathers out or what’s going on. I don’t know what to do for her or how I can help her. Please please help. They are about maybe 2 1/2 months old and aren’t in their chicken coop yet, we’re still working on building it but it’s almost done. She is eating and drinking normal, she has normal behavior. She just has that bald spot and I’m freaking out a bit. It looks rather dry.

Do you have a picture? How many chickens in how large of a brooder or area? Do you have any cockerels in the mix? They are probably picking feathers possibly from overcrowding, boredom, or perhaps too much light or heat? Pictures of the setup might help.
