Hi, sorry if this is not the right section, I'm not sure where I should put this. I was emailed a flyer stating that a farm here in RI, was being foreclosed. It is Bonniedale Farm, which houses rescue animals, such as cats, dogs, horses, chickens, goats, etc. When the farm is taking all of the animals will be put down. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to do.
http://www.bonniedalefarm.org/ here is their website. I can not figure out how to upload the flyer since it is a word document, but when I figure it out I will upload it. Thankyou for any advice or ideas on what to do to help the farm.
the artical can be read here at : http://www.projo.com/news/bobkerr/kerr_column_22_03-22-09_V3DOI72_v20.3260147.html.
The lady who sent out the flyer is Kim Murphy. she can be reached at [email protected] . thank you all again.
I will just type up the flyer here is what it said ( sorry its a bit long):
PLEASE HELP SAVE THE ANIMALS AT BONNIEDALE FARM. Wells Fargo Bank Foreclosed on it but we can't let them take the farm. All the animals will be put down.
I hope you don't mind me leaving this info, but I became extremely upset and outraged after reading Bob Kerr's May 20 article in the Providence Journal.
Please allow me a few minutes to explain the situation. It could bery easily be one of us in the shoese of this farm owner.
Farm Overview:
not a commercial farm-opened 8 years aago in Glocestre to be an animal sanctuary for all types of animals who have been abandoned, abused, adn hours from being put down. Currently over 100 animals at the farm such as horses, llamas, goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, cats, dogs and chickens. The farm is not just about the animals- It's also about children, the farm is open to the public so children can be able to pet and see the animals.
"Bank #1 held the farm note-Bank #1 went under, didn't tell Dan the farm ownder, adn the not was given to bank #2. Bank #1 never forwarded Dan's payments to Bank #2-Wells Fargo enters the picture adn foreclosed on teh farm, not caring that Dan had done nothing wrong.
All the animals at Bonniedale have been saved in some way, but if Wells Fargo takes the farm they will be taking over the animals. The animals will be put down. All of the animals have been through horrible things and do not deserve this.
Dan is a wonderful adn caring man who is there giving his entire life to providing a safe haven for these animals. Dan ins't looking for a free ride-just more time to raise enough money to get another mortgage through another bank. There have been numerous fundraisers over the past few months in additoin to much generous support, but there is still much more needed. I fell helpless which is why I am trying anyway to reach out to others. this is a desperate situation. The animals need our help. I am very thankful that there are so many animal lovers. I jsut hope there are enough of us to save the farm and beat Wells Fargo.
By reaching out to others I am hoping for:
1. Guidance-Maybe someone knows somebody that I could contact.
2. Ideas- Maybe someone knows of a fundraiser that I may be able to organize.
3. Donataions-Any amount could help save the farm.
If you would liek more information about this farm, please visit www.bonniedalefarm.org. And you can hear Dan's interview with a radio station at www.whjy.com on the Paul and Al page. Tehre is a link under the picture of Bonnidale. My Name is kim Murphy. I can be reached at (401) 451-7448 or [email protected]
