This morning we went out to check on my daughters baby chicks and they all (3) seem some what out of it. They fall over when they are just standing there. They seem to be eating and drinking fine. She had 4 to start with but last week I posted about one with the insides that came out! What could this be? Should I give them some sort of meds? If so what? They are about 3 weeks old. They are Belgian D'Uccle Bantams. Please Help....

Corid. But is it possible they are simply too hot? How warm is it where they are? If it is hot you could simply dampen them with a wet washrag and see what happens.

I don't think they are to hot. They are feathered on the body and we only turn on the light at night and it is not close to them. Will it hurt them to treat them with Corid if I'm not sure?

OMG! they have mites! would that cause them to be lathargic? I'm going to the feed store right now to get dust for them. Should I also try to get Corid?

Your choice. But I'd sure check to see whether they carry it. It can be hard to find, I have read. Maybe you can get them to start stocking it, at least.

Yes, mites on baby chicks can deplete them quickly. I would treat externally for the bugs first and see if you see improvement.
