Pretty much you are doing all you can. If he has head trauma, he is either going to live or die. The fact that he is still alive bodes well for him. Give him time he will probably roost when he fells better. You might try searching for anti inflamatories that can be used for chickens, I have used prednisone on mine before for other issues. But if you can give him something to relieve the pain and or swelling he will feel better sooner.

Hi...I'm sorry this has happened to your roo! To be honest though, I don't have any really terrific advice for you but didn't want to ignore your post since no one else was answering just yet. All I can offer in the area of advice (since you said you can't take him to a vet), is that if I were in the same situation, I would do what your doing- keeping a very close eye on him. He may have a concussion/head injury or other kind of internal injury... who knows. Are there any obvious injuries on him... swelling/ bruises, etc...? I'm not sure what you can do for him w/out having access to veterinary care, but I would keep him quiet (by himself if that doesn't stress him out, and certainly if the other birds are bothering him) and be sure he's eating and drinking to give his body time to repair itself if it will. Maybe you could get him to eat a little crumble moistened with water/plain yogurt, or a little watered down canned dog or cat food (just temporarily), etc... I guess that's good that he's still walking and drinking water. :) Hopefully someone else will chime in that has had experience dealing with this type of injury and can give you better advice. In the meantime, I would keep a close eye on him and give him supportive care, and maybe search around this site for other posts with this type of injury. Hopefully, with some TLC, he will roost and crow when he's feeling better. Best wishes!
Anyone have some helpful advice???

Like any animal that has been injured, he is probably in pain, and will need time to recover, expect some different behaviour from him until he has completely recovered, (it looks like he will if he is drinking) just give it a little time, like the others have said, you are doing all you can, we are believing he will be fine....If animals are eating or drinking, their survival mode had kicked in, and that can only be good.
