    I really can't tell you for sure, because I'm not a Silkie fan, but I would guess a bird that size, if it were a Male (Rooster) would be crowing

    They are asking if this is a younger chicken or an older chicken (I know this based on another thread this person had). The word pullet doesn't necessarily have anything to do with age, just that it is a female. Like I said before, it looks old enough to care for chicks to me.

    Technically "Pullet" does have to do with age. A Pullet is a female bird a year or less in age. A hen is anything older than 1 year old, But I'm still confused about what is being ask[​IMG]

    Beautiful bird! Yes, next time, or even still! You will want to post this in breeds and gender. It will help you a lot more! Looks like a pullet! Or I think....
