Please how much pedialyte for chickens

I discovered it has to non-pasturized to provide health benefits and it has a cloudy blob floating around in it called "mother?" When you use it, make sure some "mother" is included in the dosage...... I found this from member Chris09:

Apple Cider vinegar is rich in the vitamins, minerals and trace elements found in apples, especially potassium. It will normalize pH levels in the stomach, improve digestion and the assimilation of nutrients.
A few more benefits of Oral Apple Cider Vinegar are:
*Reduces intestinal and fecal odors.
*Aids in digestion.
*Helps to break down minerals and fats.
*Assists the animal to assimilate proteins.
*Assists the animal to convert food better.
*It lowers the pH of the digestive tract which
will make an environment less welcoming
to pathogens therefore will reduce common
infections and increases resistance to disease.
*Improves stamina and fertility.
*It is a great overall tonic that will improve the general well being of the animal.
If started while Birds are young (1-1/2 to 2weeks), birds
*Will feather out quicker.
*Are hardier.
*Grow to their potential sooner when used with an adequate feed.
I find the meat is also leaner due to the fats being converted quicker.
Cautions:
Do not use metal water dishes (except stainless steal).
Vinegar should not be used internally with animals that have an irritated lining of the intestinal tract.
Add 1/8-1/4 of a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to every 4 fl ozs of water, or 1/8-1/4 cup per gallon of water.

* I don't know if the info is from a University study or experience, no source of information was cited

heat even with the frozen fruit and ice blocks ice water and regular water some of the chicks were starting to act dehydrated. We put a fan in the barn and have it blowing on them. They are doing better.
I'm sick with the heat now...but worth it to have happy healthy chicks.

Minchi - I'm from a small town west of Ft Worth, Mineral Wells :)

I hope you guys don't burn up over there in CO....terrible stuff, last year it was TX w/half the state on fire....

I wish I could box up some rain and send it to IN and CO, I'd trade for some summer sun :(

I would gladly take that deal!

I grew up all around Dallas, last lived in Flower Mound so I use to know the area well. Last time I visited I was amazed how much the area has grown. I was planning on visiting when those tornadoes hit the area. Sorry I cancelled now. ;)

I miss it sometimes, we had some good food down there. Keller's and El Fenix to start but when summer comes around I don't as much. Colorado is a nice place to live and it is dry here so you don't have much of a 'heat factor'. I also was sick all the time when I lived in Dallas, because of the humidity but sometimes it is hard having all my family there and not really knowing many people here. If I had moved somewhere else I would probably miss it more but Colorado is a really nice place to live. Great views, dry, and when it does snow it is off the streets within a day at most. The snow always stays white and glittery. I also miss my baseball team.
