Noticed my girl had this all over her face and comb. Has happened quickly and I am very bummed. It is on both my buffs. I have read a crap load on what it can be and feel confused. Any thoughts? Thanks

My guess would be fowl pox which will run it's course in about 6 weeks. If it is, it will get worse before getting better. Nothing you can do, it's transmitted by mosquitoes.

My favorite pullet has tiny black spots at the tip of her comb, not as bad as this, but I was also going to try to find answers here. Hopefully someone has advice.

Have you tried to gently wash it off? It almost looks like crusted on dirt. Lookin at it close up cause it is on her face feathers as well. Not just the comb and wattles.

I think that you are dealing with peck wounds or injury to her comb and face, by the jet black crusts which are usually from a bloody injury. It could be that another flock member has hurt her or she has somehow hurt herself.
