HOWEVER,,,,,, We have a 6 month old Splash Orp Roo,,,,,,,with no spurs,,or bumps, and if "he's a she" it's the best darn impersonation I ever seen. "It's" mounting the hens and "IT" won't stop crowing from 4;15 AM to 5;30 am. AND,,,,,, we gave away two other true roos, just to keep goofy here,,,,,,??? I'd say yours is a TRUE ROO!
Yes, I would say that you have a rooster. From what I understand, sex-links work only for the first generation and do not breed true with the coloring in subsequent generations. Meaning you cannot breed a sex-link roo and a sex-link hen and then sex their offspring using the coloring method. He's handsome, but definitely a He.
