please, please help me! they're hatching, what do i do???

What's your temperature and humidity? I've read it's always best to leave them alone and not open it as long as humidity, etc., is good. If they're going to come out, they'll do it best without your help.

How many eggs? What kind? I'm so excited for you! I've got chicks due next Wednesday.

If you seek a crack and a beak, then you are doing everything correctly so far. Just let them be. Oh, and CONGRATULATION!

You don't need to do a thing! They will come on out on their own once they've finished absorbing the yolk sac. If you help, you will do more harm than good. Opening the top of the bator will also make the humidity levels drop and this chicks could get stuck inside their egg shells.

So, sit on your hands and enjoy the show! No helping and leave that bator lid closed!

If you have a Brinsea, I wouldn't worry to much about humidity. Especially at this point. Just leave the bator be and let the chicks do their thing. That is the most important thing to remember.

If it is driving you bonkers, go outside and find something to do or head to a movie. Chicks can take a full 24 hours after pipping (sometimes even longer) to hatch out. Be patient!
