I have 20 eggs in the bator. I know 14 of them are good. 5 of them I can't see through because they're green. Yesterday, the final egg was definitely developing and today I'm not sure. It's a dark brown egg, hard to see through. I can see veins and a dark shadow, but can't see the shadow moving like I could yesterday. I'm on day 9. I would like to see a picture of a blood ring when candled so that I will know what I'm looking for. The reason I ask is because at the bottom of the "stuff" in the egg, there is something that looks somewhat like a ring, but I'm not sure. I will keep it in there for a few more days just to be sure either way.

I guess even if I lose one, a possible 19 out of 20 isn't bad for a first hatch!

About halfway down there are pics of the blood ring - it shows in the bottom of the egg.

The thing I'm seeing is the blood island (which I thought meant it was still alive in that picture). I am wondering about the blood ring that (I think) goes around the egg and means the chick is dead.
