I need to see some birds from Meyer hatchery, please!!!!!!!!!!! its almost chick time at our house and i want to order from meyer, but want to see what their birds look like first. please post your pics, also comments on the breed. Thank-you

I don't have recent pictures, but they are from a few months ago, when the birds were about 2 or 3 months old. I apologlize for the bad quality. Doesn't do their birds justice.

Silver Laced Polish (She had to have a haircut a few days later). The Golden in the background moulted out the black crest and grew in better looking feathers.

Appenzeller Spitzhauben (Cuckoo Marans in the background).

More of the Spitz. She gained more black spots in the months to follow.

My Sumatra. The previous pic showed her in better lighting.

My Sultan pullet. I find her especially nice.

My birds feathered out very nicely. I don't think hatchery stock could have come out much better. Very friendly, and all healthy. I wish I had pictures now.

I happen to like all of my Polish, but some of them are as different as day and night. All personable, but some hate to be held, while others will crave it, some don't like strangers, and others will meet and greet everyone they can see.

My passed Sultans have never discouraged me from othering them each year. Very engaging breed. They have never been skittish, very calm, and VERY friendly. Favorite breed. I say I'm my Sultan's "Seeing-eye-person." But sometimes they tend to fall victim to bullies...like the Sumatra. I've only had one Sumatra, but she plays rough. She will challenge anyone who steps out of line, but never actually fights. She likes to play fight, and spook smaller birds. But she has never really hurt anyone. Very independent breed. Only one Spitz, but she and the Sumatra are typically of one mind. They hang out together, play fight at times. The Appenzeller is easy-going and although they are supposed to be very active, I find my pullet docile and never far-traveling. After a few minutes, she's homeward bound and prefers not to leave far from the coop. My Marans is also easy-going. Her eggs are not SO dark, but they are significantly darker than my other birds'.

I got my batch last year from Meyer. Great company. Very willing to work with me. Chicks were 100% healthy and I had no worries about any of them dying.
