Please post your pictures of purebred New Hampshire Red chicks - adult

I'm not sure why you want to do this project, but I've had NH chicks. They are yellow rather than red. Their wings come in patterned, then they get more orangey later on. I can try to find pics if you want.

See these yellow chicks? They are NH chicks from Ideal.

Yup, that's them! Ok. Good. Phew. I was looking at these chicks and thinking... I have never seen such light NHs.

I got time and space for this project. I am just that type of person. I used to get in trouble as a child for taking a screw driver and taking apart the radio and nintendo (I'm dating myself here) and atari to see how they worked. Like I would have known by looking, but I wanted to see. Same sort of thing here. I want to see/experience what it took for Mr. Ellis to come up with Delawares. I am fully aware it may take most of my life, but as you know... I SHOULD have time... I'm still pretty young.

Isn't re-creating the Delaware sort of like winning the lottery? Who knows when, or even if, the same sport will result. And, if you get a sport, there's no telling whether it will be silver.

Yes, it is like winning the lottery... and you can't win if you don't play.

And these are Gabbard Farm's NHs. Those pics of your old chicks are dead on. I was just wondering. The shipment of eggs I got from Julie Gabbard just before that had some wrong breeds written on them. I stuck them in the incubator and emailed her. She said they must have just marked them wrong. The two that were marked wrong were infertile so we will never know. Then the first batch of eggs I bought from her were bantams... they are grown now and just as big as a medium standard. So, now you can see where my concern was. I am not trying to talk badly about her... she is very nice. I may have just been that one in a million to get the bad luck there.
