Please Pray for my Aunt.... Update page 3

I said a prayer for your aunt and yourself. I had a biopsy last year when I found a lump in my breast. I was 28 years old with three young daughters and I was terrified. Prayer helped calm me and the results came back fine. I have faith that God will help your family through this.

You got it! I'm sending prayers your way for you & your family. Please keep us posted!

I will be praying for your aunt. My sister finished going through another round last year, her second, and she even had had a double masectomy so this wouldn't happen.

Life has a funny way of putting things in perspective. I have had osteosarcoma (bone cancer), my sister has had melonoma (skin cancer), my father has had lung cancer and we are all still kicking. My mother died last week from complications from a spinal cord injury she received 9 years ago. Prayers work! My mother had suffered for all of those 9 years and now she isn't hurting anymore. Removing her pain would have been the one gift that I would have loved to have given her. It robbed her of so much in her life. It has been my experience that there are much worse things than death and sometimes death is a blessing. My family has been blessed! Prayers do get answered and while sometimes we don't like the answers, we learn to accept them. I will pray for you and your family. 3 of 4 of my family members have had cancer and we are doing well. So, don't fear the diagnosis....just fight the fight.

You couldn't have said that better!! My mother died two weeks after my 20th birthday of Lung Cancer and it was a blessing for her too. Death is not a punishment or a lack of response to prayer, it is a reward (at least from a Christian perspective), and I know she is with Jesus and I will spend eternity with her and my father who died on Fathers Day 6 years ago. Aunt Lois isn't afraid to die, but the thought of all the treatments etc is.... well.... depressing. Not that it can't be done, but ugh... She will fight the fight if it comes to that. Thank you so much for the encouraging words!

Well, the bad news is that it is cancer.

The good news is that is "in situ" which means that it is very small and encapsulated. She will be going in to have a mastectomy in a week or two. Please pray for her physical and emotional comfort and peace.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. We have an amazing family of faith on here!!

my prayers are with you both, God always answers prayers sometimes they aren't as we wish but our heavenly father knows best and he is always there.

I've been sick for a few days and just got back on today. I am sorry to hear the news, but at least she got it early.
My dad just went in on monday to get the results of a complete body pet scan to see where all he has cancer (or not).
I will continue to pray for your family.
Monica
