Please pray for us and our flock....

We appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers. FOR EQUINE CHICK: the symptoms of this condition are supposed to be lethargy, and white poop stuck to their down feathers. It affects their ovaries, so I suppose that would also affect their laying ability. It affects young birds and they gather around a heat source and act cold. Hanna had intermittent and gradually increasing lameness over a period of months; she finally became unable to stand at all. At the end her eyes were affected; they were swollen and there was some sort of foamy stuff on them. At the end she was lying on her side with her legs together and to the side. These three things are classic symptoms of Marek's,, which is why we thought that's what it was, although Marek's affects young birds normally. She never laid an egg (because her ovaries were affected). She did not have white poop; she had normal poop til the last when she had diarhea. She was lethargic in the last couple of months, but did not act cold. She ate well til the last day; then she only ate strawberries... but still lost weight and her crop was impacted. Both Marek's and Pullorum are supposed to be contagious, but we have no other birds who have had these symptoms, that are visible, anyway. I'm certainly no expert, but I sure don't see how Pullorum could be suspected. I hope not. They did rule out Marek's during the prelim. necropsy. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD EXPERIENCE, WITH THIS, OR SOMETHING WITH SIMILAR SYMPTOMS, I'D LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT IT.
