He looks very much like my Harley who had feline urinary syndrome and had many blockages and even surgery to try to help the passage way be wider. I was gone the night he fell ill but my mom took him to the vet and the technician sat with him all night and pet him and talked to him. My mom didn't tell me until the next day. I was devastated.

So sorry you lost your buddy... he looks like a cool cat. Hold on to the happy memories.

Renal failure is so common in older kitties, you did the best you could and he had a wonderful life with you.

My heartfelt thoughts for you! What a blessing Sammy was, and will always be for you, and what a blessing you are for Sammy!! And do you suppose......there's another little blessing that needs you...and one that you need? I truly believe that we should listen to that softness and ache in our hearts, it sure reminds me of how precious and sacred all life is!

i am so sorry for your loss, he was a beautiful cat indeed and is probably chasing string around and napping up in the sky with all the other kitties.
my thoughts are with you at this hard time, i am so sorry you have to go through such a tragedy but i bet Sammy is thanking you for being such an awesome owner and always loving him.
jennh, i am so sorry about your cat also, i hope she has minimal suffering and enjoys her last days with her loving family.
