ok i am looking for my missing male peacock. he is about 1-2 years old he has a blue head and neck and he doesnt really have any of his eyes on his back feathers and he has a greenish brownish colored back. we really miss him and we would like him back and are willing to give a reward for him if he is found. we live in north smithfield RI but its been about 2 weeks so he could be kind of far away by now. if anyone has any information or has seen a stay peacock around please let me know because we really miss him.

thank you for anyone who can help me

Have you tried posting in the newspapers???

I know that I would be heartbroken if one of my pair went missing and can't possibly imagine how you feel. I've heard that they (peafowl) can go 7 miles away if they want. I would defintely try the newspaper, any farmers that are notorious for big flocks of "whatever!" and go from there. Try any local auction houses that may be in your area. Someone may trap him and just try to sell him so he's not pooping on their satelitte dish (sorry). But true....

Good luck to you and I hope that you find him. Odds are he wasn't taken. Most wouldn't know what he is, whether he's male or female, so it sounds like he's just gotten lost. Males at that age are NOT known for what they are. Usually it's that big long tail that we all know as "peacock" that makes them unique. I hope you find him.

You should post an ad on the RI craigslist; many people check there when they find a lost animal.
By the way, there are ads on the RI craigslist for peachicks, but I can't remember what you were looking for...

thank you i have gotten a few peachicks after i posted this and my male peacock has still not come back but i am planning on putting up flyers and doing the paper and craigslis things thank you for your help

Put flyers up at convience stores and your local grocery and feed store.
Hope you find him soon they can travel very far very fast when they find a need to.

Try Craigslist with pictures. I had success with this last year when one of mine escaped. I got the 1st call 3 days after I had posted. A number of people had seen him but didn't know what it was a he was a yearling and not very colored yet. In 8 days, he was over 5 miles away in the next town over crossing a busy road etc.. It was tricky to catch him but we did.
